Trial & Error
About.
Trial & Error, featured at the 4th addition of CABF, is a premasters track publication which documents our creative journey from concept to execution, capturing raw moments, early notes, discarded ideas, and breakthroughs. As 5 members, we reflected on both our own personal processes as designers as well as our colleagues, looking at their archives and creative design thinking as well as their execution.

Description.
The book offers an intimate look at the unseen decisions that shape a project, highlighting individuality in design and showcasing diverse methodologies and problem-solving techniques. The work challenges Eurocentric models of design education, advocating for decolonized, culturally relevant approaches. Emphasizing process over outcome, it explores the role of intuition, iteration, and failure in meaningful design work. Through multiple perspectives, it reflects on evolving design practices and invites readers to witness the intellectual and emotional landscape that defines the creative process
