Composer to the stars is an intimate recollection of memories, a delve into taha’s career, achievements, and so much more. It’s a conversation between my grandfather and myself which provided me with information about my grandfather I was learning about for the very first time, this conversation was imperative for me to showcase the person behind these songs, his wit and humor, his passion for his craft which he dedicated years on perfecting. This is essentially an amalgamation of some of the works of taha el ogueil (as I found that his work is extensive beyond what I initially thought), and his goal was to always share his music to the world, this is exactly my aim with this zine is to share his music and his words to all.
